Maps Made Easy with Mt Mugga
Monday 27 October 2014
The name of the game was MAPS and tonight we invited the Cubs from Mt Mugga over to join us. Maps Made Easy was the first of our four map-related programs this term, and it was a great opportunity for the Cubs to get hands on experience learning about mapping. We split the 53 Cubs into three smaller groups - 'Blizzard', 'Shadow' and 'Jet' - all names of wolves. Then in our groups we rotated amongst three bases - a) distance estimation, b) map basics and contours and c) map trails. It was a terrific night and we really enjoyed meeting and working with the other Cubs and Leaders.
